Emily was born and raised in San Diego and has been cultivating a love of all things local ever since. As an advocate of locally-based small businesses, she has written about everything from antique bookstores to the sea caves in La Jolla.
After a four-year adventure in Toronto, where she graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in English, Emily returned to Southern California with a renewed passion for the culture and vibrant history of San Diego.
